Choosing a Difficulty

Select a difficulty that matches your skill level. If you have never played before, start on EASY.

Harder difficulties will increase your score.

Placing Rocks

Select PLACE GEM and drag the rock onto the map. Once placed, it will randomly turn into one of the eight gem types. Each level you must place five rocks.

You cannot place towers on waypoint platforms or out of bounds. You also cannot completely encircle a waypoint.

Choosing a Gem Tower

Placed rocks reveal their potential stats. Compare the descriptions on the right side, then select KEEP to transform the best rock into your tower. Only one gem can be kept per level.

Air mobs only appear every four levels, so do not KEEP an amethyst gem as your first tower.

Combining Gem Towers

Combine two towers of the same type to create a higher-quality version. Select the gem you want to keep and click COMBINE.

Gems can only be combined during the initial placement phase.

Mobs

After you select KEEP or COMBINE, mobs enter the map and try to reach the waypoint chain. Every mob that reaches the end steals one life. If all your lives are gone, the game ends.

Upgrading Quality

You gain gold for each mob you kill. Spend it on UPGRADE QUALITY to improve your chances of finding stronger gems.

Creating Special Gem Towers

Special gem towers are the key to winning. Once you have the correct recipe pieces, select one of the towers and click COMBINE SPECIAL.

Upgrading Special Towers

Once you have enough gold, you can improve a special tower with the UPGRADE GEM button.
